10 years after organising the Solidarität & Kooperation conference in Tübingen, kollektiv orangotango is back in this familiar setting at the Neckar river bank. In 2009 we co-organised the conference, and in 2010 published the edited volume Solidarische Räume & kooperative Perspektiven – Praxis und Theorie in Lateinamerika und Europa (PDF), to exchange and reflect on anticapitalist practices based on cooperation and solidarity. Some of the bonds between European and Latin American activists and scholars consolidated in Solidarität & Kooperation, formed the basis of what should become This Is Not an Atlas some years later.
So, we are delighted to present This Is Not an Atlas in Tübingen, in the occupied cultural center Gartensia. On october 19th, we will present and discuss the Not-an-Atlas project with local activists and inhabitants. For the following weeks, an exhibition of maps will be open for visitors daily.
