Teaching counter-cartographies #2: 2020 an Atlas

The second contribution in our Teaching counter cartographies series’ comes from Hamburg: “2020 – an atlas”. As part of the methods seminar “Critical Cartographies”, taught by Katrin Singer and Paul Schweizer, six maps were created in student projects on different thematic complexes around corona, border regimes, tight to the city, street names and colonial continuities, as well as emotionality, body and affect.

Teaching counter-cartographies #1: counter mapping masterplan

The course, self-organized by students in the context of and financially supported by the program ‘Bauhaus.Module’ at the Bauhaus-University Weimar sees itself as part of the longstanding efforts towards more participation in remodeling measures of the university campus. The collected perspectives on and ideas for this highly contested space are now visible in the catalogue counter mapping masterplan.
