In times of struggle and violent state repression, critical scholars need to show their colors, commit themselves. As spatial scientists, educators, militants, activists, defenders of bodies territories, we to denounce the atrocities and brutal repression that is being exercised in Colombia. Thus, as network of critical and autonomous geographies collectives Cartografía Sur (Colombia), Geopaz – Instituto de Geografía para la Paz A.C (IGP) (México-Argentina-Perú-Brasil-Cataluña-Colombia), Colectivo de Geografía Crítica del Ecuador (Ecuador), Geobrujas-Comunidad de Geógrafas (México), Colectivo de Geografía Crítica Gladys Armijo (Chile), kollektiv orangotango (Germany), Kioscos Socioambientales para la Organización Comunitaria (Costa Rica) have created the Statement of the Critical and Autonomous Geographies. Support and Solidarity with Colombia – National Strike 2021 (find the Spanish version here) which since its publication has been signed by many more befriended scientists and activists.
