Amazon, Homeless People and the Police

We are overwhelmed by the positive response for This Is Not an Atlas. It is (german) amazon besteller in “globalization” (even if we would prefere counter-globalization;). And the first edition of 3000 copies is already sold out. So it seems we have a wide audience. Interessting and somehow funny to find out about the differences between the readers of Not-an-Atlas. We are celebrating the latest issue of Bodo street newspaper (sold by homeless people – https://bodoev.org/) which features our global counter-mapping collection. And we continue wondering and discussing how to interpretate the fact the we also got a very nice review in the “police newsletter” (polizei-newsletter.de). Our readers seem to be as diverse as our maps or even more. We appreciate this wide audience and hope all of them understand the message behind maps made by homeless people (imaging-homelessness-in-a-city-of-care) and apps that denounce police violence (militarization-of-rio-de-janeiros-favelas).
